Financial Markets
Working Group Programme

The Financial Markets COO community working together to generate thought leadership and develop solutions to address market wide non-proprietary challenges.

Objective

As directed by the Q4 2021 / Q1 2022 COO priority of work surveys, 6 iCOOC working groups were established in Q2 2022. The objective of forming these working groups is to facilitate effective collaboration within iCOOC (International COO Community).

Purpose

The purpose of forming these working groups is to promote the sharing of information and opinions between selected iCOOC executives to achieve a desired outcome.

Output

Each working group will have a year end output which will be an aide mémoire, industry paper or a product. The content will have been provided and shaped by the collective thought of the COO community. This initiative will be led by the CEO of Armstrong Wolfe (moderator), and the joint Armstrong Wolfe Advisory managing partners (content and programme leadership).

The Armstrong Wolfe leadership team will be supported by appointed industry advisors and 3rd party companies with known capabilities and/or insights that will add value to each working group.

Your commitment

Delegation

The strength of the iCOOC platform lies in the diversity of thoughts. Attendance will be delegated by the Global COO, with the delegate holding a commensurate level of seniority at global, regional, or functional level.

The same delegate will commit to actively participating in the working group each quarter.

Attendance

Active participation: 3 x 90-minute working groups between April
and December 2022.

Knowledge Transfer

To allow transfer and
communication of the
content to managerial team members, the Working Group
executive can invite their direct reports to attend. The executive will be visual and actively participate, the invitees will be non-visual and in listening mode only.

Co-host

To co-host one working group forum between April and December 2022, with two of your working group peers.

1-2-1

To be available for interim 1-2-1 conversations with the Armstrong Wolfe programme lead, who will be responsible for programme momentum in-between the pivotal working groups.

Leadership Development

Working Group participation is structured to additionally provide leadership and employee development at the senior director to executive managing director level. Participation is maximised through the knowledge sharing policy and broader forum participation. This ensures a return of investment for iCOOC members.

Areas of benefit realised through participation in iCOOC’s industry and peer led Working Groups, operating as a confidential and exclusive information exchange, are as follows:

The information exchange
  • Market Awareness
  • Intelligence Gathering
  • Data Validation
  • Idea and Solution Development

Personal and Behavioural Development:

  • Networking
  • Confidence Building
  • Peer Group Benchmarking
  • Presentation Training
  • Public Speaking
